Trevor Shirley is an American journalist currently working as an investigative reporter at Nexstar Media Group based in Washington, D.C. since 2019. Previously, Shirley worked as a news reporter at Fox59 and also held a position at ABC7 and Ambassadors For Children. His most recent role was working as a reporter in Indianapolis and Atlanta.
Shirley was born in Chicago but grew up on Indiana’s north side. He then attended North Central High School where he graduated as a proud panther. He then joined Indiana University in Bloomington, later graduating with a Bachelors’s degree in journalism.
Between 2008 and 2010, Shirley was a member of the Ambassadors For Children. He then started working at ABC7 studios as a reporter from 2011 until 2013. Recently, he worked at Fox59 as a News Reporter from 2016 until 2019 when he joined Nexstar Media Group as a journalist.
