Vijay Shekhar Sharma is an Indian technology entrepreneur and multimillionaire business magnate. Sharma is the founder and CEO of Paytm, a Noida-based fintech company. As of 2022, he was appointed as an ambassador of India by the ICANN-supported Universal Acceptance Steering Group. In September of that year, Vijay had a net worth of US$ 1.1 billion.
Sharman is a native of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from Delhi College of Engineering. While still in college, he started a website called indiasite.net which he later sold at US $ 1 million dollars. In 2000, Shekhar began a company called One97 Communications which provided mobile content such as news, cricket scores, ringtones, jokes, and exam results.
