Warren Barton is an American journalist and former professional footballer who is currently working as a soccer studio analyst for Fox Sports Bundesliga coverage. He has covered programming for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
Warren brings his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game to the FOX Sports soccer commentator desk. He called the first-ever all-German UEFA Champions League Final, live Wembley Stadium in May 2012.
On the other hand, his career began at Maidstone United in Kent, but he quickly transferred to Wimbledon, where he played defense and midfield in 180 appearances. He was also a member of the English National Team while at Wimbledon, making his debut in the infamous 1995 friendly between England and the Republic of Ireland, which was called only 27 minutes. In addition, he represented Sweden and Brazil at the international level.
Later on, he joined Premier League club Newcastle United as a defender. During the 2000-2001 season, he was team captain and played in every major European cup competition. He played professionally until 2004 when he retired.
