Wesley Boone is an American journalist who works as a sports director for KTAL in Los Angeles. He started as a sports reporter for the channel in March 2020 and was promoted to sports director in September 2020.
Working for the Southeastern Channel at Southeastern Louisiana University gave Boone his start both behind and in front of the camera, where he polished and developed a passion for storytelling. He was allowed to cover all of Southeastern’s main sports during his time there.
Furthermore, the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters named Wesley Collegiate Louisiana Broadcaster of the Year in 2018, making him the first winner in strictly sports coverage. He also won Second Place in Sports Feature Story, First Place in Feature Story, First Place in Videography, and a Best in Show Award at the Collegiate Associated Press Awards.
