Wess Moore Biography
Wess Moore is an American journalist currently working as a Sports Director at FOX 16 since joining in February of 2013. He has been covering sports in Arkansas for more than two decades. Moore grew up in Texas and graduated from Texas State University.
Wess started his television career as a news reporter in Ada, Oklahoma in 1994. He then returned to his East Texas roots as a reporter in the Marshall bureau for a Shreveport TV station. He was later promoted to weekend news anchor and morning news anchor
In addition, Moore met his lovely wife Alyson at the same station in Shreveport. A few years later, the duo tied their knots and started working in Victoria, Texas. Wess worked as the main news anchor for three years in Victoria. That’s when Moore recognized his passion for sports. In 2003, the duo moved to Little Rock.
Similarly, Wess co-hosts “The Zone” on 103.7 The Buzz. The show airs on Monday through Friday from 10 to 1. Moore enjoys talking sports! His best sports change with each season. Wess grew up playing baseball, basketball, golf, as well as football. Nowadays, his passion is golf.

He was also nominated for a Regional Emmy for a story about the near-death encounter of current Razorback Jeremey Ward. Moore has won two times the sports reporter of the year from the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Moore has covered PGA Tour activities, NFL, NBA games, MLB, NCAA Tournament games, bowl games, the Super Bowl, the College World Series in Omaha, and he can’t wait to cover his first BCS National Championship Game.
Moore and his wife, Alyson, came to Litle Rock in 2003, and now they refer to the Natural State home. Together they have two daughters, Berkeley and Brooklyn, and enjoy attending sporting activities around the state.
