Lindsay Czarniak Biography
Lindsay Czarniak is an American sports anchor and reporter who presently works for Fox Sports as a studio host for NASCAR coverage and as a sideline reporter for NFL games. She has won multiple Emmy awards for her work. Czarniak joined ESPN as a SportsCenter anchor in August 2011 after six years at WRC-TV, an NBC-owned and operated station in Washington, D.C. He left in 2017.
Lindsay was also a former co-host and reporter for the syndicated The George Michael Sports Machine and a pit reporter and studio host for TBT’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series coverage. She has also worked for NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, as a host and sports desk reporter.
Czarniak attended Centreville High School and received her high school diploma in 1996. Later, she enrolled at James Madison University and earned a journalism degree in 2000.
Despite joining Fox Sports, she previously worked for ESPN, anchoring SportsCenter, SportsNation, and NASCAR Now from 2011 to 2017. During this time, she made history by being the first woman to broadcast ABC’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500. She presents the Players podcast, which focuses on country music musicians and their sports passions. Lindsay began hosting for Netflix’s reality racing competition series Hyperdrive in August of this year. She has also served as the host of CNN’s Bleacher Report.

Czarniak also worked for WRC TV in Washington for numerous years, anchoring daily sportscasts, reporting from significant events, and co-hosting Sports Final, Redskins Report, and The Coaches Show with Mike Shanahan. She’s also the host and producer of Lunch with Lindsay, a sports feature in which she interviews famous athletes, politicians, and entertainers. She was a protege of sportscaster and racing fanatic George Michael while at WRC, who dubbed her “the best hire I’ve ever made” and co-hosted The George Michael Sports Machine early on in her career.
Czarniak’s first employment in Washington was as a college intern for WUSA before obtaining a position as a production assistant at CNN. She began her career as a news reporter for WAWS/WTEV-TV in Jacksonville, Florida, before moving on to WTVJ in Miami and Fox Sports’ Speed Channel as an ARCA RACING SERIES pit reporter.
