Juanita Bynum is an American Pentecostal televangelist, preacher, prophetess, author, actress, and gospel singer. She was born on January 16, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, the United States to Thomas Bynum Sr. and Katherine Bynum. She was born and raised in Chicago.
Juanita is also the CEO of Juanita Bynum Enterprises, a multi-faced lifestyle and empowerment product based in New York.
Bynum joined Saints Academy High School of the Church of God in Christ in Lexington, Kentucky. She received many starring roles in school productions including My Fair Lady. Juanita was a member of the High School National Who’s Who program.
She attended services at St. Luke Church of God in Christ. After Juanita graduated from high school, she started preaching in nearby churches and at revivals.
In 1996, Bishop T.D. Jakes invited her to attend one of his singles’ conferences. However, Bynum rose from attendee to speaker in two years. In 1997, she released “No More Sheets,” a video and audiotape series about her changed religious lifestyle.
Later, in July 1999, Bynum re-preached “No More Sheets” at T.D. Jakes’ 52,000 attendee Woman, Thou Art Loosed! Conference in Atlanta.

In 2000, she taught a class on the subjects of character, submission, and time management at New Greater Bethel Ministries in Jamaica. This class was attended by a class of approximately 70 women.
As she was teaching, her Women’s Weapons of Power Conference was in the early stages of planning. The Weapons of Power conference was held yearly until 2006.
Bynum is a Recording Artist, International Empowerment Lecturer, Author, Conference Host, and Entrepreneur. She now serves as the President of Juanita Bynum Ministries and CEO of Juanita Bynum Enterprises, with headquarters in New York City.

The headpiece was sterling silver, hand-designed. This was my once-in-a-lifetime event, and I did it this way because I plan to stay married.”
