Howie Carr Biography
Howard Louis Carr Jr is an American Conservative Radio talk show host, news reporter, political author, and award-winning writer for Boston Herald. He hosts his show from his studio in Wellesley, MA called The Howie Carr Show, and broadcasts on weekdays on WRKO (AM 680), Boston.
Howie started his profession as a reporter for the Winston Salem Journal and as an assistant city editor for the Boston Herald. Nevertheless, he was also the Boston City Hall Bureau Chief of the Herald American and the paper’s State House.
Carr was also a political reporter for WNEV (WHDH) IN 1982. Howie Carr left syndicator Entercom Communications and formed his own Howie Carr Radio Network which streamed live on HowieCarrShow.com in November 2014. The show began syndicating on the Newsmax cable Television Channel in August 2016. Nevertheless, he also worked for WGBH-TV and WLVI as a reporter and a commentator.

Carr attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with an alma mater. Howie went to Brown University though he had insufficient funds. He also received a scholarship at Deerfield Academy. Howie was a member of Phi Beta Kapp and wrote for the student newspaper The Daily Tar Heel in 1973.
Carr was 14th on the Heavy Hundred 2016 list. Nevertheless, he was 15th on the Heavy Hundred 2015 list. He has been on the list since 2007, before falling to 56th in 2009.
