Jim Morelli Biography
Jim Morelli is an American journalist who is currently working as a general assignment reporter for Boston 25 News. He joined the station in January 2015. Prior to this, he worked as a freelance correspondent for CNN, specializing in medical stories out of the Boston area. Talking about his education, he studied and graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. Morelli also holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering from Tufts University.
His career began in Atlanta Georgia. While there, he first worked as an associate producer for The Airport Network. He then moved on to writing and anchoring for CNN Headline News and CNN Radio. His first local news reporting job was also in Atlanta, at WGCL. He worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WCVB from 2004 to 2009.
Prior to joining his current station, he worked as a freelance correspondent for CNN. Currently, he works at WFXT FOX 25 Boston as a general assignment reporter. Boston 25, is his second stop in the Boston television market. Additionally, he is the author of two nonfiction books. He likes spending his spare time at the gym, in the garden, or coaching soccer.
