Joanne Wood is a Scottish professional mixed martial artist who is currently competing in the Women’s Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Moreover, she is the IKF European Flyweight Champion, ISKA World Flyweight Champion, and Muay Thai champion. In 2021, Wood was listed among the women’s flyweight rankings. Recently Wood won a match against Luana Carolina at UFC 286 on March 18, 2023. On top of that, she was born and raised in Irvine, Scotland.

After her loss, she secured her position again when she fought with Cortney Casey and won the fight via unanimous decision before later being replaced by Rose Namajunas. Furthermore, Joanne made a name for herself in the women’s flyweight bout after she won the match against Valérie Létourneau at UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Thompson.
Following that, she also fought with Cynthia Calvillo and Jéssica Andrade where she lost the two matches. From 2018 to 2019, Wood appeared in two matches where she fought with Ariane Lipski and Kalindra Faria and emerged as the winner of the two matches.
