This role won her a British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance from two nominations. Prior to this role, she has stage roles in Mary Stuart and People, Places, and Things.
In addition, Lou earned award nominations for her role in the play Uncle Vanya (2020) and for appearing in the films The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021), and Living (2022). After her parents divorced, she moved to Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, England, where she attended Cheadle Hulme School.
Later on, she attended the Oxford of Drama graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2017.
