Akothee is a Kenyan singer and businesswoman who is famous for her wonderful afro-beat songs with her captivating sultry dance moves. She is among the top wealthiest celebrities in Kenya. Akoth has built her brand through collabos with Africa-International artists like Diamond Platinum and Flavor from West Africa.
She joined Nyabisawa Girs Secondary School but later dropped out one year later in form two before her high school completion. According to sources, this was after she fell in love with a man who was schooling in the neighboring school. She relocated to her mother-in-law’s house at Awendo, Migori County where she worked as a house girl.
The relationship got more serious, leading to her first conception while still in her mother-in-law’s house. She bore her firstborn at 14, second-born at 15 years, and the 3rd born at the age of 16. However, her second-born daughter later succumbed to illness basing on her state of poverty.
At the age of 20, she had her fourth born before breaking up with her husband the same year. After the breakup, Akothee ventured into the Omena business to raise school fees and family upkeep. However, after her husband graduated from University, the two got back together.
Akoth made up her mind to get back to class for her form four certificate at Kanyasrega High School. Immediately after she cleared high school, getting a mean grade of C+, she joined her husband who had landed a job in Nairobi.

He invited himself to Akoth’s home where their relationship grew, further relocated to Zurich, Switzerland.
She conceived her child but later her last month of pregnancy realized that the man was not for love. All he wanted was to have a child with the Kenyan Superstar. This angered Akoth prompting her to make a return flight to Kenya to debut her music career.
After her breakthrough in music, Akoth invested in real estate and her transport brand, Akothee Safaris.
