Amber Lee is a popular American journalist and meteorologist who has currently serves as a meteorologist at CBS2 and KCAL9 in Los Angeles since joining in September of 2012. She was born and raised in Southern California, the United States of America. Before joining CBS2, Lee worked as a reporter and fill-in meteorologist at KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Regarding her education, Lee went to California State University in Northridge, California, where she received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Later on, she joined Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, where she obtained a master’s degree in journalism.

Lee kicked off her career at KCBY-TV in Coos Bay, Oregon, prior to heading to KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo. In addition, she worked for three years at KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a reporter and fill-in meteorologist.
While at KOAT, Lee was honored as “Reporter of the Year” by the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau in 2011 for her coverage of one of the most dangerous droughts in state history. She highlighted the plight of hundreds of ranchers who purchased insurance through the government but were denied claims.
Moreover, Lee left KOAT in 2012 and joined CBS and KCAL9 in September of the same year. Since then, she has been a meteorologist, broadcasting the weather. Additionally, her weather forecasts are hailed as in-depth and quite accurate.
