Angelica Duria Biography
Angelica Duria is a Filipino-American journalist who is currently working as an anchor and reporter at WITI-TV FOX6 News based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the United States of America. She also serves as the co-host of Real Milwaukee and has been the channel’s anchor since June 2013.
Prior to her promotion, she worked as a reporter from October 2010 to June 2013. She was also a morning reporter for FOX6 Wakeup News. As a WakeUp News reporter, she covered some of Wisconsin’s biggest news stories. These stories included the blizzard of 2011, the Packers’ road to the Superbowl, and the Sikh Temple shooting, among others.
In the winter of 2013, she covered a snowstorm and her “It’s snowing and IT SUCKS HERE” report went viral. She says that there was is the most memorable moment in her career. Since then, she has made her way into the studio as part of the FOX6 Wakeup anchor team.
A self-described foodie, Angelica started a bi-weekly cooking segment on Real Milwaukee called “Dining with Duria.” The show can be watched every weekday from 4:30 to 10:00 pm. Prior to coming to Wisconsin, she worked in Northern Arkansas for KHBS/KHOG/ 40/29 News.
Born in Chicago and raised in the western suburb of Elmwood Park, Angelica graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois. In addition, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. As a first-generation Filipino-American, she is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
