Angie Lassman is an American-certified Emmy award-winning meteorologist currently working as a full-time meteorologist at NBC News, New York. Previously, she served as a broadcast meteorologist and environmental reporter/ weekend Noon & 4 p.m. meteorologist at NBC6 First Alert Weather Team, South Florida. Before joining the First Alert Weather team, Lassman was the weekday morning meteorologist at FOX26 KNPN in Sint Joseph, Missouri.
As an American Meteorological Society Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, Angie is also a member of the NBC News Climate Unit, playing an instrumental role in delivering daily weather and climate coverage across a wide range of NBC News platforms, including the Saturday Today Show, MSNBC, and NBC News Now. Before her tenure at NBC News, Angie spent six impactful years in Miami, Florida, as an essential part of the NBC 6 First Alert Weather Team. At WTVJ, she pioneered the creation of the NBC6 Climate Check Series, shedding light on crucial environmental issues, natural disasters, and tropical systems.
However, her exceptional coverage of Australia’s historic bushfire disaster earned her prestigious accolades, including an International Telly Award, an Emmy nomination, and most notably, the American Meteorological Society’s Excellence in Science Reporting award.

Later, she graduated with distinction from the Department of Ocean Engineering and Sciences in 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
