Anya Kamenetz Biography
Anya Kamenetz is a well-known American journalist who has been the main education correspondent for NPR in Brooklyn, New York, since April 2014. Kamenetz is a columnist for Tribune Media Services and a former staff writer for Fast Company Magazine. She is also the author of a number of well-received books about learning and the future.
Anya authored a column called “Generation Debt: The New Economics of Being Young” for The Village Voice in 2005. Generation Debt, her first book, was released by Riverhead in February 2006. Fortunately, her work has appeared in publications such as New York Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Salon, Slate, The Nation, The Forward, and others.
She also authored a piece called “How Web Savvy Edupunks Are Transforming American Higher Education in 2009” as well as a book called “DIY U: Eduprenuers and the Coming Transformation of Higher Education” in 2010. In addition, the Huffington Post named her a Game Changer in Education in 2010.
