Ashley Biden is an American social worker, philanthropist, activist, as well as a fashion designer. She is famous as the youngest daughter to the 46th US President of the United States, Joe Biden. Additionally, she worked as the Executive Director of the Delaware Center for Justice from the years 2014 to 2019.

Blazer Biden attended Wilmington Friends College. It is a private school of the Friends’ Religious Society in Wilmington. She was on the lacrosse and field hockey teams at her school. And, she wrote a letter to the company asking them to change their policy on animal testing.
She later became interested in the conservation of dolphins, inspiring her father to collaborate with Congresswoman Barbara Boxer to write and pass the 1990 Dolphin Protection Consumer Information Act. After college, she worked as a waitress at a pizza shop in Wilmington for a couple of months before beginning her career in social work.
Biden moved to Kensington, Philadelphia, where he began working as a clinical support specialist at the Northwestern Human Services Children’s Reach Facility, helping young people and their families access resources and working closely with psychiatrists and therapists. She also earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the School of Social Policy and Practice of the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. She was also one of twelve graduates who won the John Hope Franklin Fighting American Racism Award.

Moreover, she is of English, French, and Irish descent on her father’s side and English, Scottish, and Sicilian descent on her mother’s side. During her childhood, her father served as the United States Senator from Delaware and her mother worked as an educator.

In 2010, Blazer Biden started dating Howard Krein, a plastic surgeon, and otolaryngologist. They met each other through Beau, her brother. He is also an assistant professor of oral, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery at Thomas Jefferson University.

Biden was arrested in Chicago in 2002 and charged with obstructing a police officer. And she’s been published on her own acknowledgement. Then in 2009, a friend of hers tried to sell a video of Ashley using cocaine at a party to the New York Post for $2 million. And the talks have taken the price down to $400,000. But the tabloid rejected the offer, opting instead to write a report about the alleged video. After the New York Post reported the story of her arrest in New Orleans in 1999 for possession of marijuana, but the charges were dropped and she was released.

In 2017, Blazer Biden launched the Livelihood Line, an ethical luxury clothing brand, at Spring Place in TriBeCa during New York Fashion Week. It has developed a brand to help fight income inequality and racial inequality in the United States. Likewise, all proceeds from the brand launch at New York Fashion Week have been donated to services for communities in need. Ten percent of the brand’s continued profits are donated to charitable groups in the Anacostia district in Washington, D.C., and Riverside in Wilmington.
Ashely also wanted to design hoodies because of their relation to the Labor Movement and their symbolic importance to social justice movements. And the brand’s website offers updates on political participation and economic justice.
Along with Rachel Zoe, Bibhu Mohapatra, Betsey Johnson, and other designers and fashion houses, she modeled outfits for 12-inch Peanuts Vinyl Dolls Snoopy and Belle for the 2017 Snoopy and Belle Fashion Show. She designed the uniforms for workers at the Hamilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. in June 2020. It’s an offshoot of her Livelihood Series.
Ashley Biden Activist
Ashley works both as a social rights activist and as a social worker. After graduating from college, Ashley got a job at the West End Neighborhood Home. It is a non-profit organization, as its Jobs and Education Liaison, for the adjudication of young people establishing various work and vocational training programs. She has served as a social worker for 15 years in the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Their Families. In addition, since working for the Agency, Ashley has developed youth services that focus on criminal justice, foster care and mental health.
In 2008, Delaware Today’s “40 People to Watch” called Ashley Biden for her work in the department. And in 2012, she joined the Delaware Center for Justice as an associate director, working on the improvement of the state’s criminal justice system. She even helped set up and run programs and services at the center focusing on public education, adult victim services, gun abuse, incarcerated women, and community re-entry.

Overseeing all of the center’s direct support services, Ashley Biden consulted with victims of violence, juveniles adjudicated, elderly inmates, probation and parole adults, truant youth, and Pennsylvania Courts on common pleas for clients eligible for mediation. In 2014, she was promoted to Executive Director of the Center and served in that capacity until 2019.
She also launched a program called SWAGG: Student Warriors Against Guns and Gangs, which offers educational services and community-based support groups aimed at reducing violent crimes and gang violence among youth in New Castle County. In addition, she created a Young@Art initiative that offers tools and opportunities for students to create artwork while being kept in detention centers, and then sells art to the community. She also teaches business and financial literacy skills to students through this curriculum.
