Ashley Strohmier is an American journalist who has been working with Fox News Media Channel since March 2020 as an overnight anchor and correspondent. She previously worked as a news anchor and reporter at KMIZ-TV (NPG of Missouri) from 2013 to February 2020.
Strohmier attended and graduated from Helias High School in Jefferson City, a private Roman Catholic school. She later went on to the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science in 2007.
Ashley began her career in 2013 as a general assignment reporter and anchor for KMIZ TV (ABC) in Columbia, Missouri, where she covered crime as well as state and local politics. Her in-depth reporting on the state’s Department of Social Services prompted lawmakers to launch a probe into the agency’s procedures in 2014, winning her a Kansas City Press Club award.
In addition, for her performance as an evening news anchor, she received the Missouri Broadcasters Association’s Best News Anchor Award in 2019. Strohmier also served a variety of roles at ABC throughout her time there, including being a solo anchor for News This Morning, which she produced, anchored, and managed on a daily basis.
Strohmier previously worked as a host for FOX 22 in Columbia, Missouri, where she broadcast live from the scene of numerous news events across the state. She joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as an overnight anchor and news correspondent in March 2020. In 2010, Ashley was also crowned Miss Missouri USA.
