Jenna Harner is an American journalist currently working at WPXI-TV, Channel 11 Sports, as a sports multimedia journalist. She joined the 11 News Sports Department in April 2018.
Although she is originally from South Windsor, Connecticut, Jenna is not a stranger to New York State. Harner grew up as an avid sports fan and pursued a career in broadcast journalism at Ithaca College. She graduated summa cum laude from the Roy H. Park School of Communications. A few days after her graduation, Jenna won a College Emmy Award before starting her first job at WENY-TV in Elmira, New York.
While in the Southern Tier, Harner won an Associated Press award for Best Sports Coverage. After a period of two years in Elmira, covering everything from high school football to NASCAR, she moved to Buffalo, NY, to join the sports team at WIVB. During her time in Buffalo, she covered the Bills, Sabres, and University of Buffalo athletics. In 2019, Jenna covered UB football’s historic wins in the Bahamas Bowl and the Dollar General Bowl 2018. Moreover, she hovered over the UB women’s basketball team’s NCAA Tournament run in 2018.
