At the age of 18, Moore devoted her life to the vocation of Christian ministry. Moore decided she wanted to learn more about the Bible when she volunteered as a Sunday school teacher. She went to a class of biblical doctrines that gave her a deep yearning to know the Scriptures, and through a weekly Bible study class, she began to share her knowledge.

By the mid-1990s, the class had grown to 2,000 women, and she spoke in churches throughout South Texas. Even without a formal theological education degree, the publishing arm of Broadman & Holman (later B&H) of LifeWay Christian Resources began publishing her Bible studies, leading to Moore’s national-speaking ministry. She began to host weekend conferences around the country with the help of a worship band she set up. She founded Living Proof Ministries as the basis of her national-speaking ministry.
