Bill Weir Biography
Bill Weir (William Francis Weir) is an American television journalist currently working as a correspondent and news anchor for CNN News based in Manhattan. He is also the creator and host of the global documentary series The Wonder List with Bill Weir. Moreover, Weir is the former co-anchor of Nightline on the ABC television network in the United States and co-anchored the weekend edition of Good Morning America from 2004 to 2010.
Weir kicked off his career in 1991 as a general assignment reporter and weekend sportscaster at KAAL in Austin, Minnesota. Later on, he became the sports anchor at WLUK in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and went on to anchor the WGN Morning News on WGN in Chicago from 1995 to 1998.
Moreover, from 1998 to 2002, Bill was a sports anchor at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, where he hosted the popular weekly Monday Nite Live program. From 2002 to 2004, he developed, wrote, and hosted three television pilots for the USA and FX Networks.
