Bisi Onile-Ere is an American journalist who currently serves as the co-anchor of FOX 9 News at 6.30 p.m and FOX 9+ News at 7 p.m. together with Tom Blotz. Onile-Ere joined the station’s team back in December 2017.
Previously, before joining FOX 9 News, she worked as a correspondent for the national news networks’ Detroit, Michigan bureau. She has reported and anchored at WDIV-TV, an NBC affiliate in Detroit, WJRT-TV, an ABC affiliate in Flint, Michigan, and the CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota, where she began her on-air news career.
Additionally, Bisi has covered a number of national breaking news stories, such as the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Mohammad Noor, Flint’s water crisis, Detroit’s historic bankruptcy, and the General Motors ignition switch recall. Throughout her career, she has been nominated for two Michigan Emmy Awards and a Michigan Associated Press Award. Moreover, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. While she is not working, she likes to travel and spend quality time with her family.
