Tom Butler is an American journalist currently serving as FOX 9 Morning News Anchor. He has worked for the station for over fifteen years, anchoring the award-winning Fox 9 Morning News. His journalism talent was discovered at a very young age.
Butler grew up in the Seattle area and knew that he wanted to be a journalist. In 2007, Tom was on the banks of the Mississippi reporting nearly non-stop for almost 12 hours on the collapse of the 35W Bridge. Additionally, he is the first to jump in the anchor seat to report on breaking news and really loves that aspect of his job. In 2009, Tom had the idea for the Dance Off, wanting to add some liveliness to the week after the recession hit.
Moreover, Butler is a passionate sports fan and loves his Minnesota teams. He threw out the first pitch at a St. Paul Saints game. Additionally, Tom has also been known to play around or two of golf during the months when there is no snow.
