Brad Sattin Biography
Brad Sattin is a four-time Emmy award-winning American journalist currently working as a general assignment reporter for Fox 29 News. Sattin has also received multiple award nominations for features on technology and business.
Additionally, a certain Philadelphia magazine named him one of the best reporters in the state. Brad joined Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1988.
Previously, Brad worked at 5 Eyewitness News since joining in March of 2004. Before that, he spends five years as a reporter at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sattin kicked off his career as an intern for Dan Rather at CBS News in New York.
He got his first on-air job as an anchor at WDTV in Clarksburg, West Virginia in the late 1980s. Moreover, from 1990-1991, he joined WITF-TV as a reporter in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Additionally, from 1991-1999, Brad worked for several years as a weekend anchor and investigative reporter at WSPA-TV in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 1987, Sattin received a summer fellowship from the International Radio and Television Society.
Sattin has been sharing stories with viewers across the country. He has been a news anchor, feature reporter, and general assignment reporter at various television stations in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Carolinas.
Most of Brad’s notable career highlights are when he covered a series on mismanagement of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Further, he was the first reporter on the scene to cover the story and trial of Susan Smith, the Union, South Carolina mother who drowned her two kids. In his career, Sattin has also interviewed presidents George Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton.
