Thomas Drayton is an American Television personality currently serving as the co-host of the 4-6 a.m hours, Good Day Philadelphia on Fox 29. He rejoined the broadcast in October 2016 after working as an anchor and reporter in various cities including; New York City, Denver, Sacramento, Anchorage, and Colorado Springs. Previously, he worked at Fox 29 News at Five and Fox News at Ten during the period between 2008-2013.
Drayton partially spent his childhood in the Delaware Valley where he attended Marcus Newcomb Middle School in Pemberton Township, N.J. Thomas later joined Pepperdine University to pursue a B.A. in Telecommunication.
Thanks to the excellent work he has received several awards and honors. To mention just the most notable in the list, we have the; National Association of Broadcasters’ Awards for Outstanding News Anchor, Outstanding News Producer, and Outstanding Investigative Reporting.
Other accolades include the National Association of Black Journalists Awards, Associated Press Recognition for local and national reporting, and NAACP Recognition and Commitment to the Community. In addition, Thomas has received thirteen Emmy nominations.
Through his partnership with various NP Os (Non-Profit Organizations), Thomas supports various projects including closely working with families in need and persons living with H.I.V/Aids. So far, he has established three academic scholarships for less fortunate children in the community.
Earlier on, Drayton worked as the Sacramento Vice President for the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. In this position, he launched an additional academic scholarship for minority students interested in broadcasting careers.
