Tumulty received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Sheffield in England.
Before joining WGN-TV, she spent two and half years reporting for KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah.
