Chris Cato is an American journalist currently serving as an anchor for FOX13 4 O’Clock News and the 11 O’Clock News. In addition, he also reports major stories in the 10 O’Clock News and he is the proud curator of “Only In Florida.”
Before joining FOX13 back in 2015, Cato worked in Florida, at WMBB in Panama City where he covered Hurricane Ivan for 12 hours in 2004. In 2005, he moved to WSPA in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina. While there, Cato covered various major stories including a serial killer and an affair in the governor’s office.
Similarly, while in Philly, Cato covered live Hurricane Sandy’s destruction, Pope Franchi’s historic visit in the United States, and the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut. Additionally, Chris traveled to the Vatican and Rome to file stories prior to the Pope’s visit.
Moreover, in his career, Chris has been honored with an Edward R. Murrow award, an Emmy, and various Associated Press awards for his reporting and anchoring.
