Chris Tatum is an award-winning American journalist currently serving as the morning co-anchor of WJCL 22 Morning News. He has received honors from the Associated Press. In addition, he has been awarded two trophies from the Birmingham of Black Journalists.
Chris began his career back in 1985 at WEPA where he worked as a broadcaster in a radio station in Eupora, Mississippi before joining the Navy. In addition, Tatum has worked for seven years in the radio station in Starkville and Columbus. He later moved to Nashville and made a transition to TV News working at WSMV.
Furthermore, Chris has worked at WZTV in Nashville and also in TV stations in Huntsville and Birmingham, Alabama. He stated that Journalism is a chance, not just to witness history in the making but also to help in writing it. He also said that being a journalist is not a job, but a calling, a privilege he doesn’t take lightly.
