Cody Chaffins is a renowned American sports anchor currently working for FOX 5 Atlanta. He joined the station Sport’s team in October 2012 and has become a staple on the Emmy Award-winning High 5 Sports show on Friday nights.
While at Chamblee High School, Chaffins was a football player, and he spent his Friday nights on the field, but for now, he prefers the comfort and safety of the FOX 5 Sports Bunker. His skills are on display during the high school football playoffs when he changes the bunker to his “War Room.”
While at FOX 5, Chaffin has covered College Football Playoffs, Super Bowls, Daytona 500, and the Masters. He says his favorite task came in the summer of 2014 when he and Good Day Atlanta’s Ron Gant covered the trio of Braves inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
Cody was born and raised in Stone Mountain, he grew up during a heyday of Atlanta sports, encountering the Braves’ 1995 World Series title, the 1996 Olympics, and the Falcons’ 1998 Super Bowl run.
