Colin Morgan is an actor from Northern Ireland popularly known for playing the title character in the BBC fantasy series Merlin. He made his London theatre debut in 2007 as the title character in DBC Pierre’s Vernon God Little
Colin began his career at a very young age. He was five years old when he first performed on stage. Through his debuts in various movies, he is widely recognized as one of Europe’s most promising actors. Notably, he appeared in the Young Vic production of Thomas Babe’s A Prayer for My Daughter back in the year 2008.
Morgan attended the Integrated College Dungannon where he was an excellent student. Later on, he joined the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education in 2004 to pursue a National Diploma in Performing Arts. Moreover, Colin further joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow graduating in 2007.
In reward for his great contribution to Arts, Belfast Metropolitan College honored him with an award of Distinction. Colin became an active member of the theatre, starring in several projects, such as ‘Surgical Sensations at St. Senapods’ and ‘Bad Day at Black Frog Creek’ after he joined the Integrated College Dungannon in 1997.
He returned to London theatre featuring in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Gloria, a comic drama in 2017. Furthermore, in May 2018, Morgan starred in the new production of Brian Friel’s Translations, directed by Ian Rickson.after making National Theatre debut.
