Collin Morikawa is a seasoned American professional golfer who currently has three PGA Tour wins; inclusive of a major championship, the 2020 PGA Championship. His career beginning kicked with his PGA Tour with 22 consecutive made cuts, a mark surpassed only by Tiger Woods with a 25-cut streak.

Collin graduated from La Cañada High School in La Cañada Flintridge, California, in Los Angeles County. He then joined the University of California, Berkeley from 2015 to 2019 where he played collegiate golf. Morikawa won five times in his college games including the 2019-Pac-12 Championship.

Furthermore, he won the Western Junior, Trans-Mississippi Amateur, Northeast Amateur, and the Sunnehanna Amateur. In 2017 and 2018, Collin played the Arnold Palmer Cup team emerging as a winner as well as the winning Walker Cup team in 2017.

In May 2018, Morikawa had three weeks as the top-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Later in 2019, he graduated with a degree in business administration.

Professionally, he made his debut at the 20149 RBC Canadian Open where he tied in 14th place. Later on July 7, 2019, Collin tied in second place at the 3M Open, as well as on July 14 where he tied in the 4th place at John Deere Classic. He then won his first PGA Tour event two weeks later at the Barracuda Championship placing Troy Merritt at the second position by three points.

On June 14, 2020, Collin tied for the lead of the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge after 72 holes. This was the first PGA Tour tournament played after a three months break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He missed a short Par Putt on his first playoff hole to lose to Daniel Berger.

On June 26, 2020, Collin missed his first cut on the PGA Tour at the 2020 Travelers Championship, completing with a streak of 22 consecutive made cuts. This is the second-longest streak to start a professional career to the 25 made by Tiger Woods.

On July 12, 2020, Morikawa defeated Justin Thomas in a playoff to win his second PGA Tour title at the Workday Charity Open. This was his first non-affiliate PGA Tour victory. He rose from a three-shot deficit with three holes remaining, making a 25-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to stay alive.

On August 9, 2020. Collin won the 2020 PGA Championship, a win in his second major championship. His final round of 64 recorded the lowest final-round score shot by a PGA Champion, matching Steve Elkington in the 1995 PGA Championship.

This win has made him the third-youngest golfer to win the PGA Championship at the age of 23. In addition, he is the fourth golfer to win the PGA Championship before turning 24 years old. On July 19th, 2021, Collin won the PGA Championship for the second time at the age of 24.
