Cynthia Fodor is a two-time Emmy Award-winning American reporter and anchor currently working for KCCI 8 News. Prior to joining KCCI 8 News, Fodor worked for 5 years as a reporter for WPXI-TV and worked for WTEN-TV in Albany, N.Y.
Cynthia is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a journalism degree. She worked as a reporter at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh for five years and also at WTEN-TV in Albany, New York.
Cynthia’s time working as Peter Jennings’ researcher for ABC News in New York, London, and Washington, D.C. was a highlight of her career. Cynthia has received numerous honors, including a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her story “Big Flag” in 2004.
Fodor is also a recipient of the National Transportation Highway Safety Media Award for best traffic safety reporting, the Pennsylvania Associated Press Award for enterprise reporting, and the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters Award for series reporting.
