Cynthia is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a journalism degree. She worked as a reporter at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh for five years and also at WTEN-TV in Albany, New York.

Cynthia’s time working as Peter Jennings’ researcher for ABC News in New York, London, and Washington, D.C. was a highlight of her career. Cynthia has received numerous honors, including a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her story “Big Flag” in 2004.
