Dave Aguilera Biography
Dave Aguilera, a veteran American Emmy Award-winning meteorologist born in Pueblo. Since 1993, he has worked for CBS4, where he is currently a weather forecaster, anchor, and reporter. Dave formerly served as a Colorado Lottery host and spokesperson before joining the station.
Having witnessed and reported on a variety of big weather catastrophes, ranging from droughts and floods to blizzards and tornadoes, Dave understands how the weather has a profound impact on people. Since 1986, he has worked as a TV and radio presenter in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
He is, probably most importantly, an optimist, which is a nice quality to have when everyone blames you for the poor weather. Dave, on the other hand, looks forward to coming to work no matter what the weather is like outside, and he always tries to bring a little sunshine into the lives of his listeners, no matter what the weather is like outside.
Dave knew he wanted to work in television since his senior year of high school, but he imagined it would be in news. He found his orientation shifting after finishing with a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications/journalism from Colorado State University/Pueblo in 1987. Dave then received a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
He is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) with the American Meteorological Society, a professional accreditation that recognizes the quality of his weather reports. The CBM certification is sought by radio and television meteorologists as a badge of distinction and recognition.

Throughout the year, Dave participates in and emcees a variety of fundraising events for nonprofit organizations. He believes that the community has given him so much and that this is his way of repaying them.
