David Novarro Biography
David Novarro is an American journalist currently working as a television news journalist for WABC-TV in New York City. Novarro is the co-anchor of Eyewitness News @Noon with Shirleen Allicot and the 4 p.m. newscast with Liz Cho. Moreover, he was featured in a segment called “The Trend” on the 4 pm newscast.
David returned to WABC-TV in December 2010 after leaving WFLD-TV in Chicago as the anchor of Good Day Chicago. He anchored the “Ten” newscast for Fox Chicago from 2007–2009. Thereafter, he was selected to initiate the station’s expansion into the 10:00 PM time slot after anchoring “Fox News in the Morning.”
Moreover, Novarro was voted “Best Newscaster” in a Chicago Kiss FM radio poll. Starting in 2000, David and his co-anchor, Tamron Hall, hosted the morning broadcast for seven years. He was later hired by Fox Chicago after working as a morning weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WABC-TV in New York.
Additionally, David is a proud graduate of New York University and has produced various shows for WABC-TV, including the Morning Show with Regis Philbin, Two on the Town with Leeza Gibbons and Rob Weller, and Hot Tracks, a music video show.
