Elizabeth Wadas Biography
Elizabeth Wadas is a popular American journalist who currently serves as a reporter for NBC15 Investigates, and she also anchors the 9 pm newscast on weekdays. Wadas is a graduate of Indiana University’s School of Journalism in 2015 where she did international reporting on the ground in Beijing, China.
Soon after she began her journalism career in Rockford, Illinois, where she interned and got her first reporting job at WREX. Elizabeth then moved to the Quad Cities where she anchored and worked on special projects in Moline, Illinois at WQAD.
In addition, Wadas was the reporter during the 2016 and 2020 Iowa caucuses where she covered Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and also Joe Biden’s campaign in 2020. Her diverse work covering politics to breaking news to a ‘Red Neck fishing tournament’ won her consecutive titles of ‘Best Reporter’ through the Illinois News Broadcasters Association.
Elizabeth was born and brought up in Indiana, she has lived in the Midwest all her life and wouldn’t have it any other way. Wadas knows living in Madison now means she has to keep her love for the Chicago Bears, Indiana Hoosiers, and Cubs under wraps.
Moreover, in her spare time, Wadas enjoys jamming out to Hamilton the All-American Musical, trying out in the kitchen with a new healthy recipe as well as exploring local restaurants and breweries with her standard poodle named Winnie.
