Erik Runge is an American Reporter who is currently working for WGN-TV and WGN Radio. He joined the WGN News team back in November 2013 as a per diem reporter. Previously, he worked as a general assignment reporter at Fox 9 Minneapolis, Minnesota for three years.
Runge joined the WGN News team in November 2013. Prior to joining WGN, he worked as a general assignment reporter at Fox 9 Minneapolis, Minnesota for three years. He spent a few years in central Kansas where he covered the story of a serial killer by the name ‘BTK’, standing for Bind Torture Kill. In his career, Runge has been seen on NBC Nightly News, and also he has reported live for MSNBC after Hurricane Ike crashed into Galveston, Texas.
Recently, Runge covered governmental closures, a statehouse protest that lasted for several weeks, and natural disasters including tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, and wildfires.
