Erin Burnett is an American journalist currently working as a news anchor on her own show, Erin Burnett OutFront, on CNN. Burnett is also recognized for her former role on CNBC as a co-anchor of the business show, Squawk on the Street.

In addition, she has also hosted the television program ‘Street Signs’. She has seen her career rise to her peak while making appearances on other shows. These include MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Meet the Press, and Today on NBC, as well as NBC Nightly News. In Celebrity Apprentice, Erin was an advisor to the United States President, Donald Trump.

She hosted the Erin Burnett OutFront program live from the border of Mali, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Rwanda, and Israel. Furthermore, Erin has also made reports for the program while in Pakistan and China.

Erin started school at St. Andrew’s School, in Middletown, Delaware later graduating in 1994. Burnett then graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political economy. Shortly, she landed her first job at The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as a financial analyst. She majored in mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate finance in the investment banking division.

Erin suddenly landed a job as a writer and booker for CNN’s then show Moneyline. However, she did not serve for long. Burnett switched to CitiMedia, a digital media group from Citigroup where she served as its vice president.

Thanks to her career network, she soon left Citigroup for Bloomberg Television where she worked as an anchor and Stock Editor. Still, she did not stay for long before moving to CNBC where she co-anchored Mark Haines in the show, Squawk on the Street.

At the same time, she hosted ‘Street Signs’ between 2005 and 2011. This was the network she served for the longest time since she began her career. After five years of service, Erin left the network on May 6th, 2011.

On October 3rd, 2011, Erin started work at CNN as the host of Erin Burnett OutFront, her own prime-time news show. This program runs from CNN’s New York City Studios. Up until now, the show has been on.
