Gayle Ong is an American journalist currently serving as a news anchor and reporter for KRON 4 News based in California. Prior to joining KRON 4 News, Gayle worked as a news anchor and reporter for WETM News based in Elmira, New York City. She also worked as a production assistant for the FOX News Channel based in New York City from 2014 to 2015. Ong then worked as an assignment reporter for Public House in New York City. Ong then appeared as an associate producer at CBS Television distribution from 2015 to 2017.
Ong was born and brought up in the suburbs of San Fransisco Bay Area, California. Ong grew up as the only child in a family of only two kids. She finished her high school education at James Logan High School where she graduated with a good GPA. Gyale graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television from Brooklyn College. He then earned a Bachelor of Science, in Geosciences in meteorology from Mississippi State University back in 2022.
Ong began her career as a news anchor and reporter for FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network. She was in charge of the scheduling of all on-air promotions for both FOX News. Gayle then left FOX Business News to become a server at Public House NYC based in New York. In 2015, she landed her big break as a producer working at CBS Television Distribution.
During her time there, Gayle gained experience writing and producing pre-show newscasts at CBS News. In 2017, she left WETM News and became a news reporter for WETM. Eventually, Ong left WETM and joined KRON 4 News as a Multimedia Journalist based in San Francisco, California.
