Ginuwine (born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor who began his career as a member of Swing Mob in the early 1990s. He released a number of multi-platinum and platinum-selling albums and singles back in the days which made him one of R&B’s top artists during the late 1990s and 200s.
Born and raised in Washington, he attended and graduated from Forestville High School. Later on, he joined Prince George’s Community College, in Largo Maryland where he graduated with a paralegal associate’s degree. Having started his career as a member of Swing Mob, he met prominent people in the music business like rapper Melissa “Missy” Elliot, and songwriter Stephen “Stoic Major” Garrett among other prominent people in the music industry.
Ginuwine…The Bachelor was his debut album which he released in 1996. His second album, 100% Ginuwine, was released in 1999. He went on to release other albums that were received well by the public. Recently on January 5, 2018, he entered the UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother 21. In addition, he was evicted on January 23, 2018, and came in 11th place.
