Guillermo Arduino Biography

Guillermo Arduino is a journalist who currently works as the CNN anchor and correspondent for the CNN Networks based at the CNN Center in Atlanta. Arduino is the anchor for CNN en Español’s daily afternoon show Encuentro.

He also hosts Clix, the network’s technology show, which won a Daytime Emmy in 2014 for outstanding entertainment show in Spanish. Arduino was previously the anchor for the network’s primetime weekend news program, Mirador Mundial.

Guillermo was born and raised in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires. He went to the Instituto Superior de Enseñanza de Radiodifusión, Instituto Nacional Superior del Profesorado en Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernandez”.

At the age of 25, he began working in the radio and television industry, eventually becoming the host of a nightly news program on CVN-America TV in Argentina.

In 1995, Arduino worked as a news anchor for NBC’s International Language TV News Station Canal de Noticias on a breakfast show. He worked for NBC, where he interviewed foreign leaders and covered presidential elections in the United States.

Arduino began his career as an on-air meteorologist and show host for The Weather Channel in 1997. He eventually became an international weather anchor for CNN’s weather team. In addition, he joined CNN World View in 2002 and served as an anchor during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Guillermo has hosted Clix, a weekly tech show on CNN en Espaol and CNN Latino, since 2008. He departed CNN International’s weather team in December 2011 to take on his new role as CNN anchor and correspondent.

He has now gone on to headline and anchors the weekend news show Mirador Mundial. Arduino has also hosted Global Challenges on CNN International and is the host of the CNN en Espaol technology news show Clix. In 2016, Guillermo was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. The University of Palermo in Buenos Aires honored him an Embajador de la Creatividad in 2015.
