Hallie Marie Jackson is the Chief White House correspondent for NBC News as well as an anchor for its cable division MSNBC. She also fills in as an anchor for Today.
Before joining NBC, Hallie worked for Salisbury, Maryland; Dover, Delaware; Hartford, Connecticut; New Haven, Connecticut.
She was born on April 29, 1984, in Yardley, Pennsylvania to her parents Heidi and David Jackson. Hallie then joined Pennsbury High School where she graduated in 2002. She further joined Johns Hopkins University graduating with a B.A. degree in political science.
In 2006, Jackson started her journalism career at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland, and Dover, Delaware. She then switched to WFSB in Hartford, and New Haven, Connecticut during the period of 2008.
In all these assignments, Hallie’s career was seen to shine a factor that led her to Hearst Corporation in 2012. She worked for the corporation for two years reporting for their 26 stations from Washington, D.C.
In 2014, she became an NBC News journalist and reporter, first covering the Ted Cruz presidential campaign for the network as their embedded reporter. Moreover, Jackson assumed a new role as a news anchor to the 1 P.M ET edition of MSNBC Live. Later in January 2017, NBC mentioned Hallie as its Chief White House correspondent. At times, she was said to transition and anchor the MSNBC 10.00 a.m hour News.
