Heidi Werosta is an American broadcast meteorologist and reporter who presently works for KFYR forecasting Western and Central North Dakota. She is a member of the American Meteorological Society.

Werosta was born and raised in New Jersey and holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology with a minor in geography from Rutgers University. Heidi was a member of WeatherWatchers at Rutgers where she provided weekly forecasts that were broadcast across campus.

Werosta wanted to be a meteorologist since she was a child, and she has seen numerous nor’easters, including Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Heidi was inspired to become a meteorologist even more by this particular weather event because she spent her summers at the Jersey Shore and hearing and seeing all the beaches ruined in the aftermath really made her grasp the physical impact of a storm.
