Indra Valija Petersons is an American meteorologist who is currently working at NBC News. Previously, she worked as the weather anchor for CNN’s early morning program “New Day”. Prior to joining CNN, Valija also served as a meteorologist for KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Moreover, she was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, United States.
Talking about her educational qualification, Perersons completed her study at La Cañada High School in La Cañada Flintridge, California. Thereafter, she attended Arizona University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Physics. After college, she was first employed as a meteorologist for KVIA in El Paso, Texas. Afterward, Indra moved and joined KEYT in Santa Barbara, California where she worked for some months before later joining KABC in Los Angeles, California. There she was in charge of weather production, and general assignment and also did reporting on environmental.
