Jamie Hector is an American actor who is famous for portraying drug kingpin Marlo Stainfield on the HBO series The Wire and Jerry Edgar in the series Bosch. Hector is one of the many people who began their careers at a young age. He began acting immediately after high school when he auditioned for a community theater company.
In college, he had roles on television shows such as New York Undercover, Third Watch, and Law & Order, among other great films. After college, he enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where he furthered his knowledge in acting. In 2002, he appeared in the movie Paid in Full which is one of the defining moments in his career. His other defining moment is appearing in the short film Five Deep Breaths in 2003.
Hector went on to star in other great films like Blackout (2007) with Melvin Van Peebles and Jeffrey Wright. He was also featured as a recurring villain Benjamin “Knox” Washington in the third season of Heroes. Furthermore, he starred in the series Bosch (2014-2021). He then appeared as Devon Finch in six episodes of season 2 of Queen of The South in 2017.
