Jamie Ostroff Biography
Jamie Ostroff is an American journalist currently working at NBC4 as an investigative reporter since joining the station in January 2021. She came to NBC4 from Shreveport, Louisiana, where she worked as an anchor and investigative reporter.
Ostroff graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2009. She also studied for a master’s degree in legal studies at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Jamie’s high school was Wootton High School.
After school, Jamie interned at WSVN Channel 7 and WETA. At WSVN, she assisted producers in the special projects division of the newsroom. In June 2009, she interned at MSNBC where she mainly assisted in research and production for “Countdown with Keith Olbermann.”
Jamie’s first job was working as a desk assistant at PBS’s The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. After spending 7 months at the station, she got a job at WSVN Channel 7 in Miami, Florida as a news writer, working for 1 year.
Utilizing her previously gained experience, Jamie started work at KIFI News Group in Idaho Falls, Idaho as an anchor, reporter, and producer. For two years, she anchored the top-rated weekend newscasts in eastern Idaho and western Wyoming, while producing the 10 p.m. show on Saturdays and Sundays.
Starting in October 2013, Jamie served as a video journalist for WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida. A year later, she moved to WIAT 42 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
In 2018, Jamie relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana to work as a news anchor and investigative reporter for KTBS Channel 3. It was while working at the station that she landed her current job at WCMH-TV, NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio, United States.
