Jd Disharoon Biography
JD Disharoon is an American meteorologist from Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He currently works with KARE 11 in Minnesota serving as the weekend meteorologist. Basically, JD gives updates on weather forecast on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday nights.
Disharoon joined KARE 11 on May 2019 after he left WGNO News in New Orleans where he was an evening meteorologist. In addition, he has worked in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Macon, Georgia.
Taking to his education, JD graduated from Georgia Tech earning a degree in Earth and Atmospheric Science. Immediately after his graduation, Disharoon was signed to WGCL as a weather producer. However, this was a return since he was interned with the same broadcast company, WGCL, as a weather producer. Maybe he had an outstanding performance while there. Yes, I can absolutely give this reason. Which employer can sign back a lazy employee? He then rose to become a forecaster in the evening broadcasts before relocating into the on-air weekend position at WMAZ in Macon, GA.

Lately, Disharoon joined KARE 11 in May 2019 providing weather forecasts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Nights. Having worked in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Macon, Georgia, JD is well versed in weather forecasting. In fact, that is what he does best at KARE 11 News where he works as a weekend meteorologist.
His interview for the job has been discussed widely. JD was interviewed in February 2019, when Polar Vortex had visited Minnesota. He claimed that the temperature which ran up to -20F temperatures was the coldest experience he has ever experienced. However, that was only a shock to people who didn’t understand his previous work environment. At WGNO, ABC 26, in New Orleans where he used to work, the temperatures never dropped below freezing in 2018.
KARE introduced JD in a pretty funny-hot question segment where he managed to tackle. In addition, he promised to work in the Twin Cities and look forward to meeting many of his viewers.
