Jeanine Pirro Biography
Jeanine Pirro is an American TV personality, broadcast journalist and former judge well-recognized for appearing as a co-host on FOX News. She is a respectable judge who spent time working as a New York State judge and prosecutor before officially retiring. Pirro even hosted a FOX News show called Justice with Judge Jeanine until it was canceled in 2022. Before FNC, she also served time serving as the first female district attorney of Westchester County.
Jeanine was born and raised by a middle-class family living in the northern suburban side of Elmira, New York. She grew up as an intelligent young girl who was always caught with her mind stuck on reading a book. Pirro attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School. She then joined the University of Buffalo where she earned her first Bachelor of Arts degree.
Jeanine then received her Juris Doctor degree from the Albany Law School of Union University in 1975. Eventually, she landed an internship with the Chemung County District Attorney. Her incredible work ethic then gave her the opportunity to work for Westchester County as an Assistant District Attorney. Jeanine began her first task by writing appeals while handling minor cases.
However, Jeanine decided to specialize in domestic violence cases and requested for a federal grant from the local district attorney’s office to establish bureaus to focus o domestic violence issues. Her grant was accepted and she was chosen to head the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Bureau at Westchester in 1978. In 1990, Jeanine left her work at the District Attorney’s office to work as a judge for the Westchester County Court.
In 1993, she was elected as the first woman County District Attorney for Westchester. Pirro served as District attorney for a number of years before announcing a ran as a candidate for the 2006 United States Senate Campaign through a Republican nomination. She also kicked off her career in media by appearing as a regular contributor on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet while she was running for the Senate.
Pirro even appeared as a Guest analyst for FOX New York and other shows on FNC. In 2008, Pirro launched her career as a TV host by appearing on CW’s Judge Jeanine Pirro during the day. After two years, FOX News decided to give Jeanine her own show Justice with Judge Jeanine in 2011. The show ran for a decade before its final season in 2022. Jeanine now appears as a legal analyst and co-host on FOX’s Morning Show.
