Jessica Parsons is an American journalist who is currently working as an anchor and general assignment reporter at the 3TV CBS affiliate. She also works behind-the-scenes producing Emmy-nominated Field Trip Friday roadshows. Parsons also serves as a general assignment reporter during the week and weekends.
Having been part of the pioneers and producers of the Good Morning Arizona Show, Jessica has covered numerous stories that hit national headlines. She covered the Oklahoma City bombing, the JonBenet Ramsey case as well as the O.J. Simpson trial.
After high school, she enrolled at Arizona State University where she studied journalism and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She later began her career as a reporter for WHBQ, a FOX13 affiliate in Memphis. After spending some time there, she returned to 3TV as the place was far and she wanted to be close to her fiance.
While there, she launched a cable news program and an evening health franchise. In 2002, she took a break from local TV and ventured into real estate sales. However, years later, fate stepped in and brought her back into the media. Upon her return, she held a meeting with Phoenix Woman magazine publishers. The meeting turned into the job of a lifetime in the media.
