She was promoted to WTVD in Raleigh, North Carolina after several years of her professional broadcasting and forecasting ability. Joanne spent five years there, including 2003 ‘s Hurricane Isabel landfall, as Chair of the Meteorologists that covered tornado clusters, a historic ice storm, and multiple hurricanes.
