John Elliott Biography
John Elliott is a renowned American Meteorologist currently working as the weekend meteorologist for CBS 2, New York. He joined the network in January 2007 as a meteorologist on CBS 2 News This Mornin and CBS 2 News at Noon.
John attended Wayne State University in Detroit, the United States of America attaining a B.A. in radio, television, and film. He further joined Central Missouri State University for a master’s degree in communications. Moreover, he studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
Immediately after college, John embarked on his career in broadcasting. At first, he worked as an advertising copywriter and producer. he also taught media classes at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, and Central Missouri State.
He then started work as a weatherman at WRBL-TV. the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Georgia. His next move was to KGET before relocating to Bakersfield for his new role as a news anchor. At the station, Elliot served as a morning news anchor in the NBC affiliate based in Bakersfield, California.
Prior to joining NBC, John worked for XETV-TV in San Diego, as an anchor on the Fox station’s morning newscasts. He has also been featured on weekdays morning on NBC as a weathercaster on the Early Today show.
Before joining CBS 2, Elliot worked for 2 years at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. John is a recipient of the California Associated Press for Best Weathercaster. In addition, she has received numerous honors for his news features and general assignment reporting.
Furthermore, he also served as a 2004 MSNBC presidential campaign correspondent in Lowa. He also reported from several locations and posts throughout the nation as troops were deployed for war in Iraq.
